Bill, you will not be forgotten!  / Paula Knepper-Cook (Neighbor/Friend)

Debie and Stephen, your love and devotion for Bill throughout this very difficult time stands as an amazing example to us all. Your steadfast commitment to giving Bill all that you could, surrounding him with your unconditional love, day in and day out.  May the wonderful memories of your intact family here on earth give you strength during this time. May your faith hold you together until you meet again!

Many, many years I have driven down Hillcrest Drive past your house.  If Bill were outside he would stop to wave, always with that huge, wonderful, contagious smile! Bill truly smiled at the world and he smiled even bigger when the world smiled back.  I miss that smile and expecially the warmth behind it.

Bill found us our first house.  He was so determined and devoted to his clients.  It was s perfect starter home for us and allowed us to move up when the time was right.  Thank-you Aalberg Family for the Memories

I met Bill in 1986 at Republic RE, I was starting my career and he provided me with encouragement and invaluable direction; Bill's energetic, professional manner was infectious. Years later, Bill was my manager at Equity Group in Tualatin where the highlight of the week was going out on tour and riding with him; property tour at the speed of light! I'll never forget this man, his enthusiasm, relatability, sense of humor and integrity are forever part of my memories. I know how difficult it is to lose someone that is very dear to you, I had just lost my mom in 1986 and after floundering around for a few days, Bill, concerned for me, consoled me and then explained that now I needed to soldier on, and that she would have wanted that for me too. He was right because Bill knew what it took to be a winner and, I'd found out he knew what it took to be a friend too. I look forward to seeing him again where he & Christ wait for us.    Close

Bill, I will always remember you for taking me under your wing, so to speak, and helping me start my real estate career. You were always there when I had questions and I appreciated the times we shared over Chinese food! Your gratitude and smile will not be forgotten. Close

My favorite memories of Bill are from the annual ReMax Christmas parties hosted at Bill & Debie's house. Ton's of food (Salmon caught by Bill) and many choices of delicious foods. Now to the real meat of the activities FOOSEBALL!! I believe that Bill and I whipped Jim H. & team on many occasions. Bill made this world a better place to be in. His attributes of infectious laugh, smile and respect for people in general are carried on through every contact in his life. We will miss him here on earth but the heavens above are listening to the fish stories and enjoying the Bill Aalberg we all have had the wonderful experience of knowing.

My prayers are with you Debie and Stephen

 YA, YA, YA........FISH ON!!!!!!

Dear Aalberg Family,

My condolences on the loss of Bill.  On one of the Loyola summer campouts a couple years ago Bill and Randy Engfer and I climbed Olallie Butte.  Bill carried a 44 magnum and smoked cigarettes on a really tough hike that is 4 miles up hill and 4 miles back down.  We had a lot of fun.  I also got to take Bill home from the meetings a few times.  At first he pointed out homes that he had sold, including the prices.  It must have been difficult for him to lose that ability to recall facts and details.  Best wishes

Yours sincerely,

Vance Jones

Bill was a rare sole that always had a smile on his face and laughter in his voice, he made you feel comfortable just being in his presence, my favorite conversations with Bill were about Hunting & Fishing and I will remember when he came to the Managers Meeting at Black Butte and told us not to worry we were all safe for he had brought his guns along, not sure what he felt he needed to protect us from but even when he was failing he was thinking of others.  Our Prayers are with his family, and we will always have the blessing of having known him in life.

Bill was my manager at RE/MAX equity group for many years. He was sharp as a tack, as ethical as they come and loved the real estate business through to his bones. He always said, "We're just in it for the folks" and I think that's the way he felt. He'd do anything for his agents too - so much knowledge to share and so willing to share it. I miss his afternoon visits to my office for the chocolate in my candy dish. He'd always come by and ask how things are going...and he really wanted to know. His family and friends meant the world to him and he felt blessed that God had given him such a rich life. He so loved his Debie and was sooo proud of Stephen. "It's not good- bye, it's until we meet again. God Bless you Bill!" Close

I have a special place in my heart for Bill.  He was a loyal friend to me and my family and we will all miss him very much.  He tought us a lot about life, the real estate business, loyalty and friendship.  He was a mans man and yet there was a compassion and gentleness about him that set him apart.  I loved his ambition and enthusiam for work and play.  God Bless Debie and Stephen.

I met Bill when the Bill Snyder Co. was acquired by the Interland Investment Corp. in 1982.  The Art Lutz Co's had been acquired by Interland shortly before in 1981.  Both companies were thrown together as friendly competitors.

I was immediately drawn to Bill because of his friendliness and genuine concern for people. Bill was always a breath of fresh air and I always looked forward to seeing him.

I admired Bill for his kindness and his loyalty to the Bill Snyder Co. Bill was more than just a good person.  He was, and still is, a tribute to the goodness in humanity.

I always considered Bill to be special and I want his family to know that.
