________________________________________________________

A fifth-generation Oregonian, Bill was born in Pendleton, Oregon on Feb. 15, 1948 to Deloris and Steve Aalberg. He spent his entire adult life in Portland after attending Franklin High School and serving two active tours of duty as a US Marine in Vietnam.

Bill was a principal real estate broker for over 30 years with Bill Snyder, Lutz Snyder, Republic Real Estate, Barbara Sue Seal Properties, and finally Remax Equity Group, from which he retired in 2004. He received much recognition and many awards for his work, including from the Oregon Association of Realtors, the Hillman Corporation, the North Clackamas Chamber of Commerce, and the Oregon Realtors. He was very involved in his community, whether with his son’s school, the County Boards, or in the neighborhood. Bill gave a bit of himself to everyone he met and every bit was his best.

Bill had much to be proud of, including his recent thirty-fifth wedding anniversary with his wife Debie and his successful career, but was most proud of his son Stephen. Some of the best moments of Bill’s life were those spent with his son. Bill was also an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting in the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and Mexico.

Bill will be remembered for his infectious laugh, his Sven-and-Ole jokes, his countless friends, and his dependability in tough times. He is survived by his wife Debie, his son Stephen, his brother Jim (and his wife Jan and son Bryan), and his brother Cliff (and his wife Kristy and daughter Courtney).
